Services / Project Management Office & Portfolio Management

IT projects delivered with control, transparency, and business focus.

As organisations grow, informal delivery stops working. Too many initiatives compete for the same people, priorities shift, reporting becomes unreliable, and leadership loses a clear picture of what is being delivered — and whether it is still the right work.

IDYNAMIC helps you establish a practical PMO and IT portfolio management model that gives leadership visibility, control, and better decision-making across IT initiatives.

We focus on the structure that is actually used: clear ownership, consistent reporting, prioritisation, capacity visibility, governance, delivery rhythms, and executive decision points.

Why it matters

Without a structured PMO and portfolio process, IT delivery becomes fragmented. Projects start without clear ownership, priorities change without trade-offs, teams become overloaded, and leadership receives reports that do not show the real delivery picture. A practical PMO and portfolio model helps leadership answer the important questions:
  • What are we delivering?
  • Why does it matter?
  • Who owns it?
  • What is at risk?
  • Do we have the capacity?
  • What should be stopped, delayed, accelerated, or escalated?

Project portfolio management

We help establish and facilitate the IT portfolio management process for your initiatives. Working with your leadership team, we define how initiatives are proposed, assessed, prioritised, sequenced, funded, monitored, and reprioritised against business strategy, available capacity, dependencies, risk, and value. The result is a clearer portfolio view: what is active, what is planned, what is blocked, what is competing for capacity, and what decisions leadership needs to make.

Project Management Office (PMO) establishment

You have projects running but no structure around them. No consistent process, no standard reporting, no clear ownership. We build the Project Management Office (PMO) function from scratch — governance, processes, templates, roles and tooling requirements. Practical and adopted by the team, not designed for an auditor.

PMO assessment and improvement

A Project Management Office (PMO) exists but delivery is still inconsistent. Projects overrun, reports are not trusted, leadership has lost confidence. We assess what is working and what is not — and implement practical improvements that stick.

What leadership gets

  • A single trusted view of IT initiatives.
  • Clearer prioritisation and reprioritisation.
  • Better visibility of risks, dependencies, and capacity.
  • More reliable executive reporting.
  • Stronger governance without unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Better alignment between IT delivery and business strategy.
  • Clearer decisions on what to start, stop, pause, accelerate, or escalate.

On tooling

IDYNAMIC advises on tooling options, selection and defines implementation requirements — what the tool needs to do, how it should be configured, what integrations are needed. Technical implementation of tools such as Jira, Monday.com or Azure DevOps is handled by a specialist. we do not provide software engineering, development services. Where specialist technical capability is needed, we advise on selection and support the sourcing and placement of the right specialists or vendors.
